Support Us
While we always appreciate more fans on facebook , even a small donation can go a long way on the ground. You support is essential to our mission of helping children to build foundations for joy.
As FFJ moves forward in our efforts to keep elementary schools open for refugees and war-affected children in the East, we estimate that it will cost no more than $500 to keep a school open for an entire year. Given that there are usually about 50 kids in each school, that means that is costs only $10 to keep a deserving child in school for an entire year. Not a bad cost considering that these schools drive up the rate of schooling, increase future high school graduation rates, decrease crime rates and, though all of this, lay the foundation for future peace by ensuring a well-educated and prosperous region in the future. Thus, we are asking interested individuals, congregations, groups, and companies to help ensure an education and future for Eastern Sri Lanka by sponsoring a school for just $500 per year.
> NOTE: For those who are interested in sponsorship, the name of the sponsor (whether a donor or organization) will be listed on the side of the sponsored school when FFJ takes over operations in 2011. Please click the link above and donate $500 if you wish to sponsor a school.
In addition, FFJ serves thousands of orphans throughout Sri Lanka and these operations, while essential and effective, are not without significant cost. It is only by the grace of generous donations and the work our our dedicated operations team in Sri Lanka that we are able to guarantee food, water, shelter, care, education, and vocational training to the nearly four thousand children that we serve, especially since many suffer from mental and physical disabilities. By donating any amount via the link at the top of the page, you can be the difference between whether some of our kids are able to get the care, attention, and medical treatment that they need and deserve, both to live today and pursue a better future filled with joy tomorrow.
Summer Program
FFJ is also in the process of setting up a summer program for students from elite universities across the world to come to Sri Lanka during a portion of the summer to help improve the lives of refugees in Eastern Sri Lanka. Students have the opportunity to earn academic credit while helping teach English in schools and pediatricians treating war-affected children. This program will not only allow those interested to have a profound impact, but to form life-changing relationships with the kids who they care for and see the life of students and refugees in a war-torn country from a whole new perspective. While details are forthcoming, please feel encouraged to contact us if you are interested
Other Ways

Even if you can't contribute, like us on facebook, or work for us, you can still play a valuable role in building foundations for joy.
